Alzheimer's disease



A degenerative condition characterized by memory loss and progressive mental impairment; it is the commonest form of dementia. Sometimes seen in middle-age, Alzheimer's becomes increasingly common with advancing age. Many factors have been implicated, but the precise cause is unknown.
