energy rating label

Most major household appliances now carry energy rating labels. These include gas space heaters, gas-ducted heating furnaces, gas hot water systems, room air conditioners, refrigerators, freezers, washing machines, clothes dryers, and dishwashers. The stars on an energy rating label indicate the relative energy efficiency of an appliance. The more stars (maximum six), the more energy efficient the appliance.
