ESO Coudé Échelle Spectrometer



An instrument attached to the 1.4-meter telescope at La Silla Observatory that is being used to search for extrasolar planets by the radial velocity method. It was successful in detecting Iota Horologii, a planet in one of the most Earth-like orbits so far found.
