Flower of Life
One of the beautiful arrangements of circles found at the Temple of Osiris at Abydos, Egypt. The pattern also appears in Phoenician art from the ninth century BC. The circles are placed with six-fold symmetry, forming a mesmerizing pattern of circles and lenses. A related design from the same temple, which recurs in Italian art from the 13th century, is the so-called Seed of Life.
