Frank, Ilya Mikhailovich (1908–1990)



Ilya Frank
Russian physicist who, with Igor Tamm, provided an explanation for Cerenkov radiation (1937), first observed by Pavel Cerenkov (1934). For their work all three shared the 1958 Nobel Prize in Physics.
