halitosis



Commonly known as bad breath, a condition often caused by excessive bacterial growth in the mouth, e.g., in tonsillitis, and associated with poor oral hygiene. Disease of the gastrointestinal tract, including ulcer and appendicitis, may also cause halitosis.
