mean corpuscular hemoglobin concentration (MCHC)
The mean corpuscular hemoglobin concentration (MCHC) is the average hemoglobin concentration in erythrocytes (red blood cells). It is expressed in g/dl. Normal human values range from 32 to 36 g/dl. MCHC can be calculated as ([Hb]/Hct) × 100 (i.e. the ratio of hemoglobin concentration to hematocrit times 100).
