scriber
A device that makes light marks on soft metal. It is used to mark layout and cutting lines. The metal scriber has a bend at one end which can be used to make marks inside holes or in other hard-to-reach areas. To make scribed lines more visible on dark materials, powdered chalk is rubbed over them.
