Solar Connections Initiative
A NASA program to understand better the interactions and coupling between the Sun's atmosphere and heliosphere and Earth's magnetosphere and atmosphere. It involves a number of spacecraft, including TIMED (Thermosphere Ionosphere Mesosphere Energetic Dynamics satellite), HESSI (High Energy Solar Spectroscopic Imager), MI (Magnetospheric Imager), and the Solar Probe.
