Visible and Infrared Telescope for Astronomy (VISTA)
A 4-meter wide-field survey telescope for the southern hemisphere, being built at Cerro Paranal, close to the Very Large Telescope, by a consortium of 18 British universities. It is expected to be complete by 2006.
