Zeeman, Pieter (1865–1943)



Pieter Zeeman
Dutch physicist who shared with Hendrik Lorentz the 1902 Nobel Prize in Physics for his discovery of the Zeeman effect. This involves the splitting of spectral lines in a magnetic field.
