Juno In Roman mythology, the supreme goddess, and the wife of Jupiter. She was to the Romans the abstraction of womanhood as Jupiter was the abstraction of manhood: the counterpart in the spiritual domain of the female principle in the human world. Originally an ancient Italian deity associated with the Moon and the life of women, she was later identified with Hera.
