fan tracery

Fan tracery is a complicated style of roof-vaulting, elaborated molded, in which the lines of the curves in the masonry or other material employed diverge equally in every direction. Fan tracery is characteristic of the later Perpendicular period of Gothic architecture, and may be seen in St. George's Chapel at Windsor and the Chapel of Henry VII at Westminster Abbey.
