La Tène

La Tène was a late Iron Age culture of European Celts, named for the site of the same name at the eastern end of Lake Neuchâtel, Switzerland. Originating c. 450 BC, when the Celts came into contact with Greco-Etruscan influences, it died out c. 50 AD as the Celts became subservient to Rome. La Tène ornaments are decorated with round, S-shaped and spiral patterns.
