corner fireplace
A fireplace installed in a corner of a room. In most cases, a corner fireplace consists of a standard firebox and mantel installed at a diagonal in a corner. A less common variant is a bay fireplace or peninsula fireplace, having glass sides, which is built into a corner. Corner fireplaces of this design need modified fireplace mantels.
