Acheson, Edward Goodrich (1856–1931)



Edward Goodrich Acheson
American inventor who discovered the powerful abrasive, carborundum, and devised a method for producing high-quality graphite. Earlier he had assisted Thomas Edison in developing the incandescent filament lamp.
