    Canadian Space Society (CSS)

A federally-incorporated nonprofit organization inspired by the old L5 Society. Its main aim is to sponsor and promote the involvement of Canadians in the development of space. CSS publishes a newsletter, The Canadian Space Gazette, has organized several space conferences, and has taken part in a number of space design projects, most notably the development of a preliminary design of a solar sail racing spacecraft under the Columbus 500 initiative in 1992.
