Carrier, Willis Haviland (1876–1950)



Willis Haviland Carrier
American industrialist and mechanical engineer who pioneered the design of air-conditioning equipment. He invented an automatic humidity-control device first used in a New York printing plant in 1902 – arguably the first commercial air-conditioning installation.
