Chrysler, Walter Percy (1875–1940)



American industrialist who began his career as a railway engineer. By 1912 he was in the car industry, first as manager then as president of General Motors Corporation. From 1925 he was president of the Chrysler Corporation, producing not only Chrysler cars but also Dodge, Plymouth, and Dart vehicles. from 1935 he was chairman of the corporation.
