Claude, Albert (1899–1983)



Albert Claude
Belgian-American biologist who shared the 1974 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine with George E. Palade and Christian de Duve for demonstrating the usefulness of the electron microscope and the centrifuge in biological studies. He pioneered the study of the internal structure of cells.
