Dewdney, Alexander Keewatin (1941–)
Canadian computer scientist and mathematician best known for his popular
books and articles, most notably The Planiverse: Computer Contact with
a Two-dimensional World, first published in 1984. For several years,
Dewdney wrote the "Mathematical Recreations" column for Scientific American.
He is Professor of Computer Science at the University of Waterloo, Ontario,
