August Wilhelm Eichler
August Eichler was a German botanist who developed a system of plant classification eventually accepted worldwide. It included the division of plants into four major classes. He helped to edit some 15 volumes on the flora of Brazil and published a 2-volume study of the comparative structure of flowers.
