electromagnetic propulsion



A form of electric propulsion in which the propellant is accelerated after having been heated to a plasma state. There are several subcategories of electromagnetic propulsion, including magnetoplasmadynamic thusters, pulsed-plasma thrusters, and Hall effect thrusters.
