firebrick




Brick made in a variety of shapes for use in structures, such as furnace linings, that are exposed to high temperatures. Firebrick is composed of fire clay and other non-metallic, high melting point (refractory) minerals, particularly those rich in silica, aluminum oxide, magnesium, and carbon.
