Goddard Institute for Space Studies
An arm of NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center which
conducts theoretical and experimental research in global change. It is located
next to Colombia University's Morningside Campus in New York City. Work
at the Institute focuses on humanity's large-scale impact on the environment
and fosters interaction among scientists in atmospheric, geological, and
biological sciences. It includes long-range climate modeling, and analysis
of biogeochemical cycles, Earth observations, and planetary atmospheres.
