Also called Gondwana, a hypothetical Southern Hemisphere
supercontinent formed after the split of Pangea;
the other portion being called Laurasia.
Stratigraphic and fossil evidence suggest it comprised what are now Antarctica,
Australia, India, South America, and other smaller units.
