Hale Observatories
The name by which the combined facilities of Mount Wilson Observatory, Palomar Observatory, Big Bear Solar Observatory, and Las Campanas Observatory were known from 1970 to 1980, during which time they were jointly owned and operated by the Carnegie Institution and the California Institute of Technology.
