Herzberg, Gerhard (1904–1999)


Gerhard Herzberg
German-born Swedish spectroscopist (see spectroscopy), awarded the 1971 Nobel Prize in Chemistry for work on the electronic structure and geometry of molecules. In particular he pioneered the study of free radicals.
