The Hyracoidea are an order of the Mammalia (see mammals) that includes the tree and rock hyraxes, also known as dassies and coneys. They are small and similar in appearance to rodents but in fact are related to the Perissodactyla and Proboscidia. The front feet have four functional toes and the back feet only three.
