Edward Kendall

Edward Kendall was a US chemist who worked on the biological effects of the hormones of the cortex of the adrenal glands, in particular the steroid hormone cortisone, which he isolated. He shared the 1950 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine with Philip Showalter Hench and Tadeus Reichstein.
