luminous flux



A measure of the rate of flow of visible light, i.e. the radiant flux in the wavelength range 380–760 nm, corrected for the dependence on wavelength of the sensitivity of the human eye. It is measured by reference to emission from a standard source. The SI unit of luminous flux is the lumen.
