Larry Niven
American science fiction writer (Laurence van Cott Niven) whose novels are populated by a well-integrated variety of anatomically and neurologically diverse aliens from his Known Space stable, including tripedal Pierson's puppeteers, Outsiders, exposed to space in their skeletal "spaceships", and the racially paranoid Trinocs.
