    Rucker, Rudy (Rudolf von Bitter) (1946–)

    American mathematician best known for his entertaining popular mathematics, science, and science fiction books, including Infinity and the Mind,1 The Fourth Dimension,2 and Mind Tools.3 Rucker has a doctorate in mathematical logic from Rutgers and teaches at San José State University. His great-great-great-grandfather was the famous German philosopher Georg Hegel.
