Seaborg, Glenn Theodore (1912–1999)

Glenn Seaborg was an American physicist who, during World War II, worked on the development of the atomic bomb. In 1940 Seaborg and Edwin M. McMillan discovered plutonium. They went on to isolate the entire actinide series, Seaborg and McMillan shared the 1951 Nobel prize in Chemistry.
