Star of Lakshmi
An eight-pointed star design often used in architecture, particularly as
a tiling or other decoration on the floor of a room that has four- or eight-fold
symmetry. A notable example is in the octagonal central lobby in the Houses
of Parliament in London. It was used by Hindus to symbolize Ashtalakshmi,
the eight forms of wealth. Related category
