Leurechon, Jean (c. 1591–1670)

Jean Leurechon was a French Jesuit priest and mathematician who wrote Recreations mathématiques (1624) under the pseudonym Henrik van Etten. Much of the mathematical content centers around Claude Bachet's problems and may have been copied from it or some common source. The book also gives the earliest known description of the operation of an ear trumpet.
