Fritz Strassmann

Fritz Strassmann was a German chemist who, in 1938, ushered in the nuclear age when he discovered, with Otto Hahn, the process of nuclear fission by bombarding uranium atoms with neutrons. Strassmann shared the 1966 Fermi Award of the US Atomic Energy Commission with Han and Lise Meitner.
