Bose-Einstein statistics

A type of quantum statistics concerned with systems of indistinguishable particles with a number of discrete states, each of which may be occupied at any one time by any number of particles. Subatomic particles that show this behavior are called bosons. Bose-Einstein statistics is named after the Indian physicist Sayendra Bose and Albert Einstein. Compare with Fermi-Dirac statistics.
