Brouwer, Luitzen Egbertus Jan (1881–1966)
Dutch mathematician who opposed the logicist school of Bertrand Russell
and established the intuitionist school of mathematical thought. He was
also one of the founders of topology, doing
most of his work in this field between 1909 and 1913. Related
