GOMS (Geostationary Operational Meteorological Satellite)
A Soviet weather satellite placed in geostationary orbit over the Indian Ocean; also known as Elektro. Originally proposed for a maiden flight in 1978-79, GOMS has suffered both technical and budgetary problems
