David McKay
Biochemist at the Johnson Space Center who, on August 7, 1996, along with eight colleagues, created a worldwide sensation with the announcement of the results of their investigation into an SNC meteorite known as ALH 84001. "We have concluded," said McKay, "that there is evidence of early life on Mars."
