primitive material
Material which has survived from the time of the earliest accretion of the planets of the solar system (or some other planetary system). It may include presolar grains, organic matter which might preserve the signature of interstellar chemistry, and once-molten chondrules with composition, size, and mineralogy diagnostic of the pre-accretionary environment.
