Quintuplet Cluster

The Quintuplet Cluster is a bright open cluster of stars located within 100 light-years of the center of the Milky Way Galaxy, that formed about 4 million years ago and is now slowly dispersing. It is one of the most massive open clusters yet discovered, weighing about 10,000 solar masses, and is home to what is believed to one of the brightest stars yet catalogued: the Pistol Star. Because of obscuring dust between us and the galactic center, the Quintuplet is only visible at infrared wavelengths. It is more dispersed than the nearby Arches Cluster.
