Penzias, Arno Allan (1933–)



Arno Penzias
American astronomer who shared the 1978 Nobel Prize in Physics with Robert Wilson and Peter Kapitza. Penzias and Wilson discovered the cosmic microwave background radiation, which supported the Big Bang origin of the universe.
