Equuleus (abbr. Equ, gen. Equulei)
The Little Horse. Equuleus is an ancient but obscure northern constellation
that represents a small horse's head and shoulders. It lies between Pegasus
and Delphinus and ranks ahead only of Crux
in size. Its only star brighter than magnitude 4 is Kitalpha (Alpha Equ),
a binary star (visual magnitude 3.92, absolute magnitude 0.13, spectral
type G0III+A5V, distance 186 light-years).
